Lisa Wenzel President, Tech Changers
Hello! My name is Lisa Wenzel and I’m the President of Tech Changers Inc, where we work to disrupt the disparities in the fields of computer science (CS) and STEM in Howard County, Maryland. Our work has a direct impact on the Howard County Community by creating equitable opportunities for all learners including females, underrepresented students of color, English language learners, and students with special needs as well as those limited in their ability to participate in extracurricular programs due to financial constraints. We are creating an EcosystemforCS - designed to increase access and opportunities to CS for all students in the Howard County area! #HoCoCSforAll
In addition to my role as president and change agent, I teach programming and engineering at Argyle Middle School in Montgomery County. I am a certified Raspberry Pi instructor and a Code Monkey Ambassador. In the summertime, I teach coding classes with MCCodes and a GenCyber Camp at George Washington University.
