Looking for a unique gift idea for your curious 2nd-5th grader? Tech Changers is currently accepting registration for two new virtual programs specifically designed to engage and challenge students in grades 2-5 in unique learning experiences. Our virtual classes are taught via Zoom with small size classes taught by certified educators. Students are encouraged to connect and learn together while having fun! Our Makey Makey class is designed to get 4th-5th graders off the computer and creating with circuits, LED's, alligator clips, and Makey Makey's. Every student receives a Makey Makey Maker Kit with all the materials to participate in the class and a space to share their creations with others in the class. Code Monkey is designed specifically for students in Grades 2-3 to teach fundamental coding concepts via engaging lessons and fun coding challenges using the Code Monkey platform. Small classes are taught by experienced certified instructors to support all learners and offer opportunities to connect to others who love to code. Every students receives a 1 yr subscription to Code Monkey and access to a collaborative space to stay connected to their class and continue coding using the Code Monkey 1 year subscription included with every registration. Tech Changers is excited to offer virtual coding programs to the community during these unprecedented times. We will continue virtual classes as long as the need exists and look forward to continuing our in person programs at the USRA STEMaction Center in the future. Our mission is and always will be to... "disrupt disparity in CS and STEM." We do this by creating space for all students in the Howard County area to participate in our programs. #HoCoCSforAll. When you register for a class, you create an opportunity for a student from a local Title I school to experience the same program. BONUS: Registrations received by December 10th will receive their course materials kit by Dec 13th in time for Hanukkah. Everyone who registers by December 18th will receive their course materials by December 22nd. To register, visit techchangers.org/programs
